The Alberta Provincial Committee (APC) of the Air Cadet League of Canada respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only; squadron and national League websites have their own policies.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you fill in a form on this site — such as our contact form, AGM registration, or a fundraising or volunteer form — we collect the details you provide, which may include your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, squadron affiliation, and any message or form-specific information you enter.
- Website analytics. We use Fathom Analytics to understand how the site is used. Fathom is a privacy-first, cookieless service: it does not use cookies and does not collect or store personal information about you, and the data it produces cannot be used to identify individual visitors.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiries and route them to the right coordinator.
- To process registrations, donations, fundraising orders, and volunteer applications.
- To issue charitable tax receipts where required.
- To administer the cadet program and communicate with squadrons, sponsoring committees, and members.
- To keep the website secure and improve how it works.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to operate the program and this website — for example, with the relevant Squadron Sponsoring Committee, the Air Cadet League of Canada, or trusted service providers who process forms, payments, or email on our behalf. Payment and donation processing is handled by third-party platforms under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as required by law and by charitable-receipting and record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Your choices
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete information we are not required to keep. To make a request, use the contact details below.
