Cadet flying sites in Alberta
The gliding program normally runs from five Cadet Flying Sites (CFS) around the province. Olds-Netook is the one the APC owns; the others are host aerodromes the program flies from.
- Grande Prairie Airport (CYQU) — usually one winch-launched glider. Aerotow is possible here as well.
- Villeneuve Airport (CZVL) — two gliders and a tow plane. A controlled airport, so there are no winch operations.
- Josephburg Airport (CFB6) — up to two winch-launched gliders; aerotow isn't practical here. Currently dormant while staff numbers recover from the COVID-19 hiatus.
- Olds-Netook Airport (CFK6) — winch and aerotow launches with two or more gliders. Owned and operated by the APC.
- Vulcan-Kirkcaldy Airport (CVL2) — usually two winch-launched gliders. Aerotow is possible here as well. Currently dormant while staff numbers recover from the COVID-19 hiatus.
