Camp Wright is a wilderness campground and training site at the south end of Narrow Lake, near Athabasca, owned and operated by the Alberta Provincial Committee. Its prime purpose is to support training for Alberta's Royal Canadian Air Cadet squadrons — and it's also available for bookings by other cadet and youth groups and approved community groups.
About the site
Development of Camp Wright began in 1968. It was named after Dr. Edwin Wright — the resident doctor for Athabasca and one of the camp's founders. The facility sits on roughly 122 hectares of wilderness on Narrow Lake, carefully planned to bring awareness of the natural environment while providing a training site for youth.
